Q. How have the smart classes helped in studying and standing firm in this growing competitive world?
Smart classes help us in studying the textbook content like a movie format. The concepts are clear and better understood rather than through the textbook learning where we try to drill the concepts in our minds somehow. As my concepts are clear in the first go itself, I do not feel the study pressure as such. Studying now is enjoyable, entertaining and interactive. I have made studying my friend, I ask questions and let my curiosity wander with the visuals, which helps me in being a proactive learner.
Q. You are also an extremely skilled sportsperson. Does multitasking hamper studies?
I love accepting challenges. I play football, cricket, badminton and volleyball which in addition to keeping me fit, push and boost me towards achieving my target in studies. Every student should be open to challenges. Students should always challenge their caliber to know their strength in turn keep pushing their limit further. Multitasking is a way to help us prepare for the real world, we must undertake it.
Q. Any special mantra for studying and managing homework?
I study when I want to, making sure that I do not take studying for granted. For me studying is entertaining, especially when we have the privilege of technological education. I instead of simply browsing internet and the various social networking sites, use technology according to my caliber and strengths. I utilize my time, in searching for my projects and study concepts to help me understand them better through various different sources. As for homework, I convert it in self-study.
Q. Any tips for fellow students?
Prioritize your work. If you want make a timetable, but then it is useful only when you stick to it. Also, as I said, combine homework and self-studying; don’t take homework as a burden and task, when the combination happens nothing else will be required to achieve your target. Do not let yourself be limited and chained by technology. For instance, if meeting friends, go out and meet in person as far as possible, develop the essence of personal communication. Do group studies, you will surely learn more than otherwise.
