  • What are Next Education MOOCs?
    Next Education MOOCs or Massive Open Online Courses train teachers on the latest pedagogies and global practices in the K-12 education sector. The courses are hosted on the internet and do not require any physical attendance. Available on an online platform, they aim at large-scale interaction and open access. The training helps teachers understand a child's developmental needs, and in due course, enables them to become better facilitators of 21st century learning.
  • On which devices can I access the MOOCs?
    MOOCs can be best accessed on desktops and laptops.
  • How do I sign up for the course?
    There are two ways to sign up for the course:
    If you're already registered on the NextGurukul site, log in with your credentials. Then, select the course of your choice and provide additional details, such as name, city, etc., to complete the enrolment process.
    If you're not registered on the NextGurukul site, first register on the site and then follow the aforementioned process.
  • How do I use the MOOC platform? Is there any sample guide?
    We offer demo videos that will help you familiarise with the MOOC platform. You can watch these videos before starting the course.
  • What is the MOOC Honour Code?
    You can find the details of the MOOC Honour Code here. Also, kindly note that each course has its own terms of agreement for learner collaboration and discussion.
  • What should I do if my query is not answered in the FAQs?
    You can contact us on 1800-200-5566, or email us your query at moocsupport@nexteducation.in.

Course

  • Will I have access to the course material after completing the course?
    Yes, you will have access to the learning materials even after you have completed the course.
  • When does my course start/finish and how much effort is required to complete the course?
    You will get the complete details of your course on the 'Course Description' page.
  • Is it possible to enrol for multiple courses at a time?
    Yes, you may enrol for more than one course simultaneously. However, we strongly recommend that you peruse the details of the courses properly so as to balance your study hours and the demands of the intended courses.
  • Can I enrol for a course after it has started?
    In case of a self-paced course, you can enrol and complete the course anytime before the course end date.
    In case of an instructor-paced course, you can enrol for a course only before the course start date. You cannot join mid-way.
  • I am not associated with any schools; I provide private tuitions to school children. Can I enrol for MOOCs?
    Yes, you can enrol for MOOCs.
  • What is the course registration fee for MOOCs?
    Most of the courses are free of cost. However, in some courses, learners may have to pay a nominal fee for participation and certification.
  • If I miss a week of coursework, will it affect my performance?
    It is possible to perform well in the MOOCs offered by Next Education, even if you miss a week of coursework. However, you should ensure to review and study whatever you may have missed for better understanding of the subject.
    Please remember that you will not be allowed to submit assignments after their due dates. Therefore, kindly check the course details for important dates and deadlines.
  • How do I communicate with instructors, academic experts and other learners?
    The MOOC discussion forum is the best platform to reach out to Next Education's academicians and other learners of your course. You can also collaborate with other learners and help them within the limitations of the Honour Code.

Certification

  • Will I get a certificate after the completion of my course?
    Yes, an online certificate will be provided to all candidates on successful completion of the course. The candidates are required to provide all the relevant details, such as name, city, school and school code, for obtaining the certificate. In case of any query regarding the school code, you may call us on 1800-200-5566, or email us at moocsupport@nexteducation.in.
  • Where will I find the certificate? Will I get a hard copy of the certificate?
    After the completion of the course, your certificate will appear on your dashboard. You can easily download and take a print of it. No separate hard copy of the certificate will be provided.

COLLABORATION POLICY

The MOOCs, offered by Next Education, enable you to become a part of a pan-India teaching-learning community. These courses intend to provide tech-enabled resources to teachers to facilitate 21st century learning. Moreover, these help teachers gain the best hands-on learning experiences from highly qualified and esteemed academicians and trainers of Next Education, the top education solutions provider in the country. Once you enrol for a course, you become a part of the community, which is continuously striving towards achieving this vision. In order to enrol in these courses, you must agree to the Honour Code, given below. This Honour Code articulates Next Education's expectations from the participants, and is absolutely mandatory for obtaining a badge and a certificate at the end of the course.

NEXT EDUCATION MOOC HONOUR CODE PLEDGE

By enrolling in a Next Education MOOC, I affirm that I will:

  • Complete all coursework, assignments and assessments on my own, and will neither give nor receive assistance for the assignments/assessments in this course.
  • Recognise that my collaboration with other learners is limited to only learning materials, and not assignments/assessments.
  • Maintain only one user account, and not share my username and/or password with anyone else.
  • Not engage in plagiarism during discussions and assessments.
  • Uphold the principles of the Honor Code faithfully, and duly follow the procedures and fulfil the requirements of the course.

HONOUR CODE VIOLATION POLICY

Any violation of the Code is an offence against the integrity of the community. In the occurrence of such an event, the learner will be subjected to one or more of the following actions:

  • Receiving a zero or no credit for an assignment
  • Having any certificate earned in the course or program withheld or revoked
  • Being unenrolled from a course or program
  • Being blocked from using the NextGurukul site

Additional actions may also be taken at the sole discretion of Next Education.

HONOUR CODE MODIFICATION POLICY

Please note that there may be periodic changes to the Honour Code and such changes will be effective immediately from their date of notification on the page. By accessing the MOOC site after the changes, you signify your agreement on a prospective basis to the modified Honour Code, and any changes contained therein. We, therefore, request you to return to this page periodically to update yourself with the most current version of the Honour Code.
