COMEDK

About COMEDK UGET

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) conducts entrance examinations for admissions to medical, dental, engineering and architecture colleges. COMEDK is a private body and the seats available through the exams are all in private colleges affiliated to it. Admissions to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses are available through the exams.

The COMEDK UGET(Undergraduate Entrance Test) is conducted for admissions to undergraduate courses in engineering, medicine and architecture. Until 2016, an exam called uni-GAUGE was conducted for admissions to 15 private universities in Karnataka. Subsequently, it was combined with COMEDK UGET to offer admissions through a 'single window'.

Examination pattern

  1. The examination is of three hours duration and is pen-and-paper based
  2. Each question carries one mark
  3. Each of the sections, i.e., Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics/Biology, comprises 60 questions each
  4. There is no negative marking
  5. The answers have to be marked on an optical mark recognition (OMR) sheet
