How will syllabus integration help education?

Gujarat has launched a pilot project to integrate the syllabi of different subjects. The pilot project is being carried out in 566 schools in the state, in Classes I and II. As part of the experiment, the curriculum of Maths, Language and Environmental Science (EVS) will be integrated into one subject in Class I, while that of Maths and EVS into one subject, and Language and part of EVS into another, in Class II.
