CBSE to collaborate with channel to conserve monuments
NEW DELHI, 10th December, 2011:- The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has tied up with an entertainment channel to promote conservation of Indian monument through its affiliated schools. According to CBSE Chairman Vineet Joshi, a heritage quiz competition with participation from about 1,000 schools will be held as part of the tie-up. UNESCO will also contribute to the effort by framing some questions for the quiz, he said. The association is expected to provide a wider platform for CBSE to reach out to more schools, and to boost its drive to promote education, and to encourage students to preserve and promote the country’s historic monuments.
