CBSE’s decision to issue affiliation certificates welcome

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a welcome step by deciding to issue affiliation certificates to schools affiliated to it across India. This will bring clarity in the field of education and avoid malpractice by schools that claim to be CBSE-affiliated without actually being so.

The fact that CBSE will make it mandatory to display the affiliation certificate prominently in the school will help students seeking admission as well as their parents. It’s a step in the right direction, especially with the number of CBSE-affiliated schools having increased manifold.
