CBSE to Schools: Hire Educators for Kids with Special Needs

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has instructed schools affiliated to it to appoint special educators to cater to the learning needs of students with special needs. Earlier, there were special schools catering to special students. However, with inclusive education taking prominence, education for all is being brought under the same roof.

The notice issued by CBSE deputy secretary Jaiprakash Chaturvedi asked schools to, “promote inclusion of students with disabilities/ special needs in accordance with the provisions of the Persons with Disabilities Act 1995.”
