Samsung conducts AI training events
Samsung Electronics has established artificial intelligence (AI) centres in seven locations across the globe in a bid to provide expert training in machine learning to young minds.
As part of the initiative, the second annual AI Bootcamp Summer School was recently held in the Samsung Artificial Intelligence Centre in Moscow. Sixteen youth from local higher institutions attended classes for two weeks after qualifying a competitive exam. The main focus of these classes was on big data for business. The youth also got an opportunity to hear AI experts speak on topics such as biometrics, computer vision and management of research projects.
Meanwhile, in Madrid, the third phase of the DesArrolladoras programme designed to help women enter technological fields was launched in September this year. Through this initiative, training is provided to women in programming and other technological courses irrespective of their previous experience.
