Be a better parent by reading with your child
Parents who choose to read with their children regularly are more likely to raise their children with less parenting challenges. A study published in the Journal of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics has suggested that reading together enhances the bond between parents and children.
Manuel Jimenez, the Assistant Professor of Rutgers University in the US said that the simple routine of reading with children on a daily basis can not only strengthen the bond between parents and their children but can also help bolster the child’s success in school and beyond.
2000 mother-child pairs from 20 large US cities participated in this research, and based on their provided data, the researchers have prepared the research. The result of the research showed that frequently shared reading decreases the amount of harsh parenting and helped the parents to keep their children more disciplined and calm.
