Jefferson Education Exchange To Create The Edtech Genome Project
The Jefferson Education Exchange, a public charity located in Arlington, plans on initiating the first-of-its-kind Edtech Genome Project. It entails creating an evidence-based framework to help educators make informed decisions about the technology to be used in their classrooms. The project will be overseen by a diverse group of educators, association leaders, researchers and technology experts who have years of experience in the field of education technology.
Supported by philanthropic and social impact organisations including Strada Education Network, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and Carnegie Corporation of New York, the project will draw on extensive research to identify variables associated with the success or failure of edtech implementations.
The steering committee for the project will comprise 30 members from various education and research organisations as well as teachers and technology leaders from seven public school districts across the country.
