83-year-old man gets a Master’s degree in English in Punjab
Sohan Singh Gill, an 83-year-old man from Hoshiarpur has completed his master’s degree in English. While he had completed his bachelor’s degree from Mahikpur in Hoshiarpur district a few decades ago, it was the advice of his vice-principal that prompted him to do a post-graduation in English.
Unfortunately, Gill left to Kenya in 1958 and had to take a break from his education. While in Kenya he taught a variety of subjects to children there.
After returning to India in 1981, he was finally able to complete his MA English degree from Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar.
Gill finally got an MA English degree from Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar. He hopes that more employment opportunities will be available for youth in the country so that they do not have to leave India in search of jobs.
