10 Edtech start-ups transforming education in Baltimore

As part of Baltimore Innovation Week, TU Incubator, a Towson University-based network hosted its fourth annual EdTech Innovation Showcase. This event provides an opportunity for edtech entrepreneurs to demonstrate their company’s products and talk about initiatives that they have presently undertaken to transform the education space in Baltimore. 

Following are the ten start-ups that registered their presence in the conference.

Conversifi:  It helps connect foreign language learners with native speakers through video chat. 

InferCabulary: It is a web-based vocabulary app that helps students learn new words with the help of images. 

We Are Marcus: It offers online character development programs to facilitate better engagement between educators and students.

Selected: It helps teachers connect with schools and jobs they love.

CoAuthor: It helps people interact with children through prompted dialogue templates.

ClearAlignment: It aids universities by integrating online courses and shifting to digital instruction.

OgStar Reading: It provides an app that offers structured literacy lessons for developing readers, English language learners and dyslexic students.

Ortus Academy: It teaches students how to manage money and acquire financial intelligence. 

Transitioning U: It is a student engagement platform aimed at improving graduation and retention rates across the United States. 

Happy Teacher Revolution: It focuses on addressing issues related to the mental health of teachers and works towards their well-being.
