The Telangana state government has declared that Telangana students not learning Telugu currently will not have to take an exam. They will only have to learn the basics of the language, mandatory for classes 1 to 12\u00a0 from next year.<\/p>\n

The government will share a policy draft soon, so that no doubts remain.<\/p>\n

What it means for students?<\/h5>\n

Students who are already learning Telugu will have to take an exam. The rule will cover CBSE and ICSE schools, along with Kendriya Vidyalayas and international schools.<\/p>\n

This should make things easier for students of secondary and higher secondary classes, who have not studied Telugu before.<\/p>\n

There are not many schools in the state which follow the central or international syllabus, without Telugu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
