A large number of seats are lying vacant in both private and government engineering colleges. The\u00a0Odisha Private Engineering College Association (OPECA) had filed a petition to request for another JEE.<\/p>\n<p>The state government has to complete the entire process by August 14, according to the order. Nearly 94% seats are vacant even after the first phase of admissions. Out of nearly 43,000 seats, only 8,151 have been allotted in engineering colleges.
