The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the answer keys for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), held on May 7. Students are allowed to challenge any answers from June 15 till 5 p.m. on June 16.<\/p>\n

A number of petitions were filed against the CBSE\u2019s decision to set different question papers for students who appeared for NEET in English language and in other vernacular languages. This made students unhappy across the country. As soon the Supreme Court (SC) dismissed the plea to re-conduct the NEET, the board announced these dates to issue the answer keys.<\/p>\n
Late Monday evening CBSE released a statement explaining that the answer key for NEET-UG 2017 will be open for challenges only for two days instead of three.<\/p>\n
Now that the time has been reduced to challenge the answers, it is possible that the SC\u2019s order to CBSE to announce the result before June 26 may get implemented. Earlier the NEET 2017 result was expected to be announced on June 8.<\/p>\n
As seen in any other national or state level exams, if a challenge is accepted, the marks are allotted to all the students who had appeared for the particular exam. But in case of NEET, the board has taken the decision to give marks to only those students who have challenged the questions. For every challenge students are supposed to pay Rs 1,000 and if the challenge is not accepted then the amount will not be refunded. This has left the parents and the students disheartened with the challenge system for the NEET.<\/p>\n
