The delay in commencement comes as a result of the assembly polls in five states\u2014Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>CBSE chairman R K Chaturvedi has however assured that despite the postponement of exams, the results will be released on time. The results of the exams are generally released in the third week of May. A CBSE spokesperson also said that utmost care has been taken to maintain reasonable time gap between the major papers and to ensure that the exams come to a close before JEE and NEET.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the midst of speculations about the delay in exams, CBSE had written to the Election Commission to keep the schedule of the board exams in mind while deciding the dates for the polls.
