According to CBSE Chairman Vineet Joshi, the feedback had been \u201cgenerally good\u201d across the country. The CBSE introduced the grading system to replace the marks system in its schools last year, as part of the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) system. Mr. Joshi said the CBSE was exploring newer and more reliable techniques to assess the attitudes and values of students under the CCE system. \u201cWe want to make these assessments more objective, and we are looking for ways and means to do that,\u201d Mr. Joshi said in Chennai. Assessing that the CCE assessments are objective right now, Mr. Joshi said that at least five teachers assessed a student on various parameters, including their response to stress, their ability to think creatively, their ability to solve problems, and their communication skills. This way, the evaluation will be fair even if there is any bias in an individual teacher\u2019s assessment, he added.
