Keeping pace with the latest developments now holds the key to being a successful teacher. Further, in the new-age teaching landscape, teachers need to acquire many new skills, which were quite alien to their predecessors.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some skills that equip teachers better for today\u2019s technology-enabled and rapidly evolving education sector.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nowadays, teachers need to be a fast adopter of technologies.Various ICT tools and electronic devices have brought a significant change to the teaching-learning process. Digital education is now a ground reality and e-learning has already taken the education world by storm. Given the situation, teachers should learn to implement\/use digital teaching tools in the classroom in order to make the teaching-learning process more interactive, interesting and successful.<\/li>\n<li>A good teacher should also be innovative. With a shift in the 21<sup>st<\/sup> century\u2019s socio-economic paradigm, teachers should innovate new teaching methods and strategies that can cater to students with different learning needs.<\/li>\n<li>Gone are the days when the teaching-learning process was confined to the classroom only. New-age teachers have taken it beyond the four walls. Nowadays, many teachers are leveraging the social media to involve and engage students in learning. Some are using popular social networks to impart knowledge, while some teachers are running discussion forums on their schools&#8217; academic websites to get learning going. Indeed, such networking platforms are quite effective in making teaching more impactful.<\/li>\n<li>Last but not the least; new-age teachers need to be inquisitive and curious. A teacher should explore all possible sources of knowledge and incorporate such knowledge into their day-to-day teaching.
