The challenge is to create an integrated education system that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provides access to quality education that is practical, relevant, customised and effective<\/li>\n<li>Can adopt innovative ways (tech-based) to provide faster expansion of opportunities of education to all<\/li>\n<li>Looks for bridging the gap between education and employability<\/li>\n<li>Promotes social equality\/economic viability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is evident that one policy is not going to help all. The need of the hour is to have specific policies for various levels and areas of education, and also specific to various regions. The private sector can also play a crucial role, since its share in the education sector stands at 7 per cent in primary, 21 per cent in upper primary and 32 per cent in secondary. It is time to create innovative education models and optimise the use of resources.
