According to CBSE Chairman Vineet Joshi, the call centre is expected to become operational by February 15, 2012. The call centre is being set up in view of the need for two-way communication, Mr. Joshi said in his New Year message to heads of schools affiliated to the CBSE. This would probably be the first initiative of its kind in the education sector in India. The numbers for the call centre would be announced later, he said. For the last two years, CBSE runs a 24-hour call centre during the exams to help students and parents cope with stress.
