A new scheme called the National Educational Alliance for Technology (NEAT) has been announced by the Ministry of Human Resource Development to make education more learner-centric. The NEAT programme which is expected to commence from November 2019, will be implemented by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative would enable learners to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) for better learning outcomes. Through the NEAT programme, MHRD aims to bring several startups under its wing to introduce tech-enabled learning to address learner diversity.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ease of access to learners will be ensured through the public-private partnership (PPP) model. Students from less privileged backgrounds would be provided solutions and ease of access through the NEAT portal. The Edtech companies\/startups under MHRD will provide solutions and handle registrations through the portal. 
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An apex committee set up by MHRD will provide guidance about the scheme implementation. MHRD will disseminate information about NEAT solutions among students and teachers through awareness programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
